She's says she filmed them so people would basically see how bad they were and dishearten the group to the point they quit. So in episode 7, Umi has a one on one talk with Eli as she finds out that it was her who filmed their first concert and essentially got them popular. I just wrote a decent sized paragraph and this is the least I could say about her infuriatingly backwards character.Īnd it gets worse. Trying to bring reason into something you don't mean only comes off as empty or straight up bad writing in this case but it completely contradicts her motives. As dumb as her more personal reasons are they at least only mean much from her perspective. She's just saying it, if she never wanted the group to break up then why try use sense. Pretty much any logical reason she has against the group is rendered moot by the fact she always wanted to join, apparently. Now that would actually be a good reason. Her first one is that if the group fail, it could cause more harm to the school's reputation than good. She has a slew of stupid complaints and excuses about the group and they all just rustle my jimmies. So Eli is introduced as a more antagonistic character as she opposes the formation of Mu's and let's just get to the ranting. I just ask that you at least hear me out. Honestly, if this blog doesn't sway your opinion on her then probably nothing will and honestly you shouldn't want to dislike a character as much as I do Eli so it's for the best if you don't. I best open this with saying, if you like Eli, more power to you I guess. It seems I scared a few people in the Honoka analysis when I said I wasn't eager to do Eli followed by pained groans.
I really didn't want to end this series on this note but the more I think of it, it's a nice parallel that I start the series with best girl.and end on worst. So it seems Eli has the honour of turning the final page of this series. I just figured I'd say that stuff first because this might make me a few enemies. I'm eager to see if you have any ideas.īut you aren't here for my thanks.
